Clyde L. Richardson, 86, of Alexandria, La., passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2003. He was born Aug. 19, 1916 near Poteau. He was a graduate of Poteau High School and Southeastern State University. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He lived in Poteau, where he was an active member of First Christian Church until moving away in 1953. He was a retired New Mexico elementary Teacher, teaching both in Tatum and Hobbs. He was a Master Mason and received a 50 year award from the organization. He was preceded in death by his wife Bess Craig Richardson; his parents, Will and Lila Richardson; and two brothers, Tom and Elmer. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Kayren Richardson of Pineville, la.; one daughter, Linda Spurlock of Watauga, Texas; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends. The family will be at the funeral home before the services on Friday, April 18. |
