Raymond Sanford "Bud" Scyrkels, 70, of Poteau, passed away Monday, March 10, 2003, in Fort Smith. He was a pipe fitter and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Poteau, the Poteau Masonic Lodge No. 45 and the Cameron Moshulatubbe Lodge No. 13. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Mary (Miller) Scyrkels; his first wife, Ruby and one son, Joe Whitehead. Survivors include his wife Helen of the home; four children, Teresa and John Ruhnke of Arlington, Texas and their three children, Chance, Halie and Justice; Michael and Monika Whitehead of Elkland, Mo. and their two children, Ramona and Christina and three grandchildren, Nicole, Loren and Lindsey; Philip and Janice Whitehead of Blair, Neb. and their son, Dwain Whitehead; Stephanie and Donald White and one son, Toby Whitehead; one grandson, Joseph Judson Whitehead; two brothers, Earl Wayne Scyrkels of Wister and Billy Harold Scyrkels of Hartshorne; one stepsister, Marcia Scyrkels of Cameron; one stepbrother, Gary Scyrkels of Spiro; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends. |
