Monroe Sitton, 79, of Summerfield, passed away Friday, Oct. 3, 2003. He was born Oct. 14, 1923 at Fanshawe. He was retired from the roofing/manufacturing business.

Survivors include his wife Lola Sitton of the home; one daughter, Linda Fischer of Heavener; one son, Rickey Sitton of Kansas City, Mo.; one brother, Marion Sitton of California; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.

A private family memorial service will be held at Summerfield Cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
