William 'Bill' Terry, 69, of Spiro, passed away Monday, Sept. 22, 2003,
in Fort Smith, Ark. He was born Jan. 30, 1934 at Panama to Joseph and
Hazel (Eatman) Terry. He was retired from the U.S. Army of 22 years,
ranking Chief Warrant Officer and he was later employed by District No.
1, LeFlore County as a mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Donald Terry; two
grandsons, Trenton McMillan and Austin Bays; two brothers, Arthur and
Jackie Terry; and one sister, Maxine Terry.
Survivors include his wife Helen Louise of the home; two daughters,
Carol French of Waldron, Ark. and Linda Barnes and husband Jackie of
Muldrow; four brothers, seven grandchildren; and three
great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25 at the Harvest
Hill Assembly of God with the Revs. Robert Stuart and Andy Jones
officiating. Burial will follow in the U.S. National Cemetery under the
direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons and his brothers, Randal French and
Josh Barnes.
