Esther Lee Dodson, 96, of Panama, passed away Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, in Poteau. She was born Oct. 23, 1906 at Panama. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Panama and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband Everett Dodson; two daughters, Margie Lamb and Jean Keeney; and one son, Merl Lee Dodson.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Betty Dodson of Panama; one son-in-law, Floyd Keeney; eight grandchildren, Amy Cagle, Rebecca Hartman, Debbie Adolphson, Delores Holloway, Johnny Lamb, Kevin Dodson, Floyd Kenney Jr. and Ronnie Lamb; 21 great-grandchildren; 29 great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27 at First Baptist Church of Panama with the Rev. Larry Harris officiating. Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery at Panama under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
