Kenneth Edwin Rogers, 79, of Heavener, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2002, in Fort Smith. He was a longtime
resident of Heavener, a member of the First Baptist Church, a member of the United Transportation Union, a
veteran of World War II and a retired brakeman from the Kansas City Southern Railroad.
Survivors include his wife Mary of the home; one son, Lowell Rogers and wife Sandra of Owasso; a good friend,
Hazel Evans; one sister, Sue Edmunds of Heavener; one brother, Allan Rogers of Tulsa; and two grandchildren,
Ashley and Kimberle.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13 at First Baptist Church of Heavener. Burial will follow in
Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener.
