Mary Emaline Shirkey, 86, of Valley Center, Kan., passed away Monday, April 15, 2002, in Spearman, Texas. She was born April 26, 1915 in Bokoshe to Tom and Nina (Kilgore) Malone. She was a homemaker, member of Eastern Star and of the Methodist faith. She moved from Valley Center to Spearman in 1995 and has been a residence since then.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Marion Levi Johnson in December of 1941; second husband Lee W. Shirkey in January of 1979; and one brother, Edward Malone.
Survivors include two sons, Tom Johnson and wife Nancy of Veedersburg, Ind. and Jack Johnson of Guymon; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Elizabeth Dodson of Bokoshe.
Graveside services will be at 2 pm Thursday, April 18 at Old Bokoshe Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Turner officiating, under the direction of Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
