COWETA, Okla. - Kenneth D. Boswell, 72, of Coweta, formerly of Braggs and Haskell, Okla., died Sunday, May 21, 2000, in a Muskogee hospital. He worked in the oil industry and owned and operated Boswell Well service. An Army Air Force veteran of World War II, he served in the Pacific theatre. He was a member and 32nd degree Mason of the Masonic Lodge in Haskell, a member of the Scottish Rite of Tulsa and a member of the American Legion Post No. 56 in Haskell. He was the widower of Flora Jean Boswell.
Funeral was May 24, 2000, at the First United Methodist Church in Haskell with burial at Buffington Cemetery in Sallisaw under the direction of Dowdy Funeral Home of Haskell.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; two daughters, Jimmie Lou Mosher of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Connie Lewis of Roland; two stepdaughters, Sherry Connely of Wellston, Okla., and Philis Gutierrez of Broken Arrow; two stepsons, Larry Rawdon of Durant, Okla., and David Scott of Wagoner, Okla.; two sisters, Lola Johnson of Oroville, Calif., and LaVerna Myers of Muldrow; one brother, Carl of Oroville; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
