Betty Jean Bristow
Funeral services for Betty Jean Bristow, 64, of Chickasha, will be
held Monday, May 20, 2002, at 1:00 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home
Chapel, with Mike Bates officiating and Wes Warren assisting.
Betty J. Bristow was born July 15, 1937, in Bradley, Oklahoma, the
daughter of Andrew McClintock and Lessie Davis McClintock. She died
Friday, May 17, 2002, in Oklahoma City.
Betty grew up in the Bradley area and attended Bradley Public
Schools. She married Walter Ross Bristow in Wichita Falls, Texas, on May
8, 1972. Betty had been employed at Clyde's Cafe and Lawrence's Cafe as
a waitress, however she spent most of her life as a homemaker, caring
for her children. She attended the Cement Assembly of God Church.
Betty enjoyed cooking, canning, and most of all, spending time with
her children and family. She enjoyed visiting with people and never met
a stranger.
She was preceded in death by both parents and one brother.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Ross Bristow, of the home;
three daughters and sons-in-law: Cheryl and David Turner, of Cement,
Angela and Tommy Bunch, of Minco, Gail and Don Evans, of Chickasha;
seven sons and daughters-in-law: Jimmy and Linda Bristow, of Amarillo,
Texas, Tommy Bristow, of Wilburton, Oklahoma, Charles Bristow, Ron
Bristow and Don Bristow, all of Amarillo, Texas, Myron and Tonya Loman,
of Chickasha, and Kevin and Paula Bristow, of Chickasha; one brother and
sister-in-law, Riley and Tracy Owens, of Grants Pass, Oregon; fifteen
grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many nieces and
nephews.
Interment will be in the Bradley Cemetery under the direction of
Ferguson Funeral Home.
