Ethel Jiles Ross, 93, of Vian died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, in Vian. She was a homemaker and a member of Vian Baptist Church for more than 60 years. She was active in Women's Missionary Union and taught Sunday school. She was the widow of Mr. Alvin James Ross.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Vian Baptist Church with burial at Maple Cemetery northeast of Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
She is survived by one daughter, Shirley Smith of Vian; two sons, Waymon and Bernard Ross, both of Vian; two sisters, Opal Dustman of Muldrow and Manervia Potts of Muskogee, Okla.; nine grandchildren, Michael Wayne Ross of Mustang, Okla., Jim and Steve Ross, both of Texhoma, Okla., Rick Smith, Debbie Anderson, Jimmie Lou Eubanks, Martin Ross and Shana Eppler, all of Vian and Kim Russell of Fort Gibson, Okla.; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mike, Lance, Martin, Jim and Steve Ross, Rick Smith, Kenny Anderson, Michael Ross Anderson, Jason Isreal, K.C. and Heath Eubanks and Scott Eppler.
The body may be viewed from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. today at the funeral home
Pallbearers will be Jack Cecil, Jess Thompson, Mike Jacobs, David Turner, Randy Riddell and Herb Shockley.
