William Eugene Caldwell, 72, of Bokoshe died Thursday, April
5, 2012, in Bokoshe. He was born Sept. 7, 1939, at Milton, to
Juanita Ina (Fox) Culwell and William Hershel Culwell. He was a
veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of Bokoshe First Baptist
Church and a greenskeeper for golf courses.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, William Kyle
Caldwell; step-fathers, Tommie Simpson and John Baggs; sister,
Loretta (Culwell) Fowler; brother-in-law, Loyal Fowler; and
sister Dolores (Simpson) Best.
William is survived by his wife, Priscilla J. (Swanson)
Caldwell of the home; nine children, Kerrie (Caldwell) Venancio
of Nipomo, Calif., Shawna (Caldwell) Duval of Plumas Lake,
Calif., Chad Caldwell of Lompoc, Calif., Ryan Caldwell of Grass
Valley, Calif., Michelle Rondone-Figueroa of Sacramento, Calif.,
Lorraine (Rondone) Brousseau of Medford, Ore., Darlene (Rondone)
Elliott of Sacramento, George Edwards Jr. of Elk Grove, Calif.,
and Richard Edwards of Bokoshe; 25 grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bobby Culwell of Poteau and
Jimmy Simpson of Hawaii; three sisters, Mary Ellen Mobbs of
Atoka, Perma Lea Toler of Oroville, Calif., and Emma Lee Lovell
of Shady Point; beloved cousins, Norma Jean and Darrell Moreland
of Panama, Kenny Fox of Shady Point, C.W. (Wayne) Fox of
Washington; beloved nephew of Sue (Hutcherson) Culwell of
Bokoshe; numerous uncles, cousins, friends and other family
members too many to name.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 10,
at Old Bokoshe Cemetery
with Pastor Wes Bates officiating, under the direction of Grace
Manor Funeral Home, Poteau. Viewing will be from from 10 a.m. to
8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Family will greet friends
from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
