He passed away Nov 18, 1948 after a long illness. Pastor O.L. Patterson officiated the funeral service. His place of burial is in the Talihina Cemetery.
Charley had many friends and was well known for his natural musical talent. He played the violin and fiddle for friends, barn dances, parties & all occasions. He was a good family man with a spirit of love, big heart and kindness for all who knew him. He was a member of Christ's Church.
He left behind a loving family including his wife Lula, son Clarence, daughter Blanche, and three grandchildren, Helen, Clyde, Marie, and numerous relatives in Missouri.
