Elvin L. Campbell, 80, of Poteau, passed away Sunday,
Oct. 31, 2004, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was born June 30, 1924 at
Bates, Ark. He married his wife, the former Cumile Miniard on
July 4, 1947. He was in sawmill work. He was a member of the
First Assembly of God Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife; two brothers, Jessie
Campbell and Acey Campbell; two sisters, Laura Parker and Zina
Dale Willingham; a son, Albert Campbell; a daughter, William
Cagle; and two granddaughters, Marinda G. Campbell and Elizabeth
Campbell.
Survivors include four sons and two daughters-in-law, Alfred
Campbell of Waldron, Ark., Stoney and Carol Campbell of
Longview, Texas, Winston and Melinda Cagle of Poteau and Harvey
Cagle of Poteau; three daughters-in-law, Benna Campbell and
Joetta Campbell, both of Poteau and Annie Campbell of Sallisaw;
10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one sister, Stella
Pomeroy of Little Rock, Ark.; numerous nieces, nephews, other
relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3
in Greenhill Cemetery at
Cameron with the Rev. Keith Williams officiating, under the
direction of Evans & Miller Home of Poteau.
