Earline Violet Carter
Earline Violet Carter, 77, of Willow, Calif., formerly of
Cameron, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2004, in Chico,
Calif. She was born Dec. 1, 1926 at Quinton, Okla. She had moved
to Willows, Calif last year after living in Chico for the
previous 13 years. She was a member of the Four Square Church in
Orland. She was retired after working as an upholsterer in a
furniture factory in Oklahoma for over 20 years. She was active
in her children's activities such as 4-H and Cub Scouts. She
enjoyed making special treats for her granddaughter Mariah. She
loved helping people, cooking and gardening.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Goines and
Sherman Goines; her parents, Alfred and Edna (Morgan) Darneal.
Survivors include her husband Warren Carter of the home; one
daughter, Eddye Baker of Willows; three sons, Earl Wayne Goines
of Pocola, Larry Goines of Cameron and Robert Goines of Poteau;
12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several brothers
and sisters; numerous other relatives and loved ones; and a host
of beloved friends.
The family will have visitation at Evans & Miller Funeral Home
on Tuesday, May 11 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 12 in
Greenhill Cemetery at Cameron with the Rev. Jimmy D. Cook
officiating under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home
of Poteau.
