Iva L. Coleman, 91, of Summerfield, passed away
Tuesday, April 13, 2004. She was born on March 7, 1913 in
Summerfield to Robert (Bob) Smith and Corda (Dedmon) Smith. Iva
married Lee Coleman in June 1932 in Summerfield. She was a
member of the First Baptist Church of Summerfield. She was a
homemaker and assisted her husband with the chicken and farming
operation in Summerfield. She loved bowling and was a member of
a Housewives League. She also loved to play the card game Pitch.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Rudolph
Coleman; a grandson, Mikey Chitwood; a great-grandson, Cody
Chitwood Jr.; and two brothers, Leo and Carl Smith.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Iva Lea and Joe
Chitwood of Summerfield; a son and his wife, Gary and Florence
Coleman of Summerfield; a host of grandchildren;
great-grandchildren; and many other loved ones and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 16
in the Summerfield
Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Caughern officiating, under
the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
