Minnie Downs

SPIRO — Minnie Howell Downs, 95, of Spiro, formerly of Crawford County, died Saturday, May 29, 2004, in a local hospital. She was the retired manager of David’s Pie Shop in Fort Smith and the widow of G.W. Downs.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Sarah Grove Cemetery in Figure Five Community.

She is survived by a daughter, June Ramsey of Van Buren; a son, Dale Downs of Spiro; three sisters, Ruth Smith of Fresno, Calif., Rue Jones of VanBuren and Cecil Scott of Clovis, Calif.; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
