Solomon Frazier, 83, of Talihina, passed away Monday, June 21,
2004. He was born March 9, 1921 in Nashoba to Aben and Ellen
Cooper Frazier. He married Irene LeFlore in Nashoba in 1939.
He was preceded in death by his parents;
his wife; and one son, Lawrence. He served in the Army during
World War Ii and was a member of Big Lick Methodist Church in
Divide, Okla. He was well-known for his singing and piano
playing and was a published composer. He enjoyed being with his
sons in the Frazier Quartet. He lived most of his adult life in
Dallas, returning home to Talihina in the early 1900s.
Survivors include four sons, Willkie
Ellis Frazier of Talihina, William Julian Frazier of Mayfield,
Kan., Luke Frazier of Mesquite, Texas, Doyce Olen Frazier of
Dallas, Texas; one daughter, Shirley Zasimowich of Dallas,
Texas; 21 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; as well as
numerous step grandchildren; three brothers, Abe, Leroy and
Randle; three sisters, Cora, Amy and Agnes; numerous nieces,
nephews and cousins.
Services will be held at 2 p.m.
Thursday, June 24 at St. Paul Methodist Church of Talihina with
the Rev. Dorothy Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the
New Talihina Cemetery
under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
