Jason Wayne Means, 19, of Wister,
passed away Saturday, May 15, 2004 at Heavener. He was born
March 4, 1985 at Poteau. He was a member of the Nazarene Church
at Wister. He graduated from Howe High School in 2003 as
Salutatorian. He was also Salutatorian of his eighth grade
class. He was employed at Bremner.
Survivors include his parents, Ronnie
and Carol Means of Wister; one sister and brother-in-law, Jaclyn
and Joshua Gibson of Wister; one brother and sister-in-law,
Brian and Courtney Means of Poteau; maternal grandparents, Alice
and Victor Maine of Lexington; paternal grandparents, InMel and
R.C. Means of Muse; paternal great-grandmother, Audie Rainwater
of Muse; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; other relatives and
loved ones and a host of beloved friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday,
May 18 at Church of the Nazarene in Wister with the Revs. Joe
Atkinson and Steve Nation officiating. Burial will follow in
Ellis Chapel Cemetery at
Wister under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of
Poteau.
Pallbearers will be Brian Means, Joshua
Gibson, Judd Whitehead, Austin Gillham, Jeremy Duke and Eric
Leatherwood.0
