Ruby Yvonn Nichols, 69, of Talihina, passed away
Friday, April 30, 2004, in Fort Smith, Ark. She was born Feb.
12, 1935 in Lamesa, Texas to Bernett Griffin and Ava Lou Roscoe.
She married Marvin A. Nichols on April 26, 1949 in Seminole,
Texas. She was of the Baptist faith, a beloved wife, mother and
grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Doris Ann Green; and
one brother, Bernett Griffin.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; two daughters and
one son-in-law, Bernetta and Ricky Goodrich and April Dawn
Nichols of Talihina; one son and daughter-in-law, Shane and
Joann Nichols of Cabot, Ark.; grandchildren, Jay, James and
Joseph Edwards, Laura and Charlie Michael, Tyrel Goodrich,
Melissa and Ed Blagg, Mark Goodrich, Bryson and Joshua Nichols
and Marvin Lee Shoemake; seven great-grandchildren; father,
Bernett Griffin; mother Ava Lou Bassham; a sister, Doris
Stumbaugh; half brother, Perry Bassham; numerous nieces and
nephews.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 3, 2004 at the
Whitesboro Baptist Church with the Rev. Alvin Branscum
officiating. Burial followed in
Muse Cemetery under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Bryson Nichols, Mark Goodrich, Tyrel Goodrich,
Ed Blagg, Delton Ray Burnett and Larry Goodrich.
