James O. Salsman, 80, of Bokoshe,
passed away Friday, May 7, 2004, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was born
May 20, 1923 at Senneca, N.M. He was an auto mechanic. He was a
veteran of the U.S. Army and lived in Bokoshe for approximately
20 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett O. and Elva
Jane (Rinker) Salsman; one sister; and three brothers.
Survivors include his wife Iva Salsman of the home; one
daughter, Linda Golleher of Hobbs, N.M.; one son, Jim Salsman of
Panama; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one
sister, Sybil Laverne Powell of Davis, Calif.; two brothers,
Fred Salsman of Arizona and John Salsman of California; numerous
other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 10 at Evans Chapel
of Memories in Poteau with Barry Ammons officiating. Burial will
follow in Oakland
Cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home
of Poteau.
Pallbearers will be Danny Golleher, Mark Golleher, Jim Salsman,
Beau
Salsman, Barry Ammons and Mike Tolman.
