Gary Lyndon Stewart, 50, of Spiro, passed away Saturday, Sept. 25,
2004. He was born July 8, 1954 at Rotan, Texas to Hoyte E. and Maxine
Virginia (Ivers) Stewart. He pastored several churches and he was
a teacher.
Survivors include his wife Kristal Stewart of the home; one daughter,
Brindy Lashell Stewart of Kensett, Ark.; one stepdaughter, Ashtyn
Dru Gross of Spiro; two sons, Christopher Gary Stewart and wife
Angela and Scotty Craig Stewart, all of Kensett, Ark.; two stepsons,
Kaden Wayne and Landon Kyle Gross, both of Spiro; one sister, Carla
Sue Stewart of Greenbrier, Ark.; two brothers, the Rev. Kevin Stewart
and wife Diane of Owasso and Randy Stewart and wife Leah of Lewisville,
Ark.; one half brother, Larry Stewart of Stockton, Calif.; his parents,
of Lewisville, Ark.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28 at the Spiro
First Baptist Church with the Revs. Lin Jones, Kevin Stewart and
David Hooks officiating. Burial will follow in
Fairview Cemetery
under the direction of Mallory Martin Funeral Home of Spiro.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Ivers, Jackie Ivers, Eddie Altenbaumer,
Rick Sanders, Chris Robinson, Doug James, Brian Brooks and Raymond
Rhodes.
