Funeral service for Robert L. Winton, 76, of Howe, who died Friday in a Poteau hospital, was held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Mt. View Baptist Church at Glendale, with Rev. Lawrence Glenn officiating.

Burial was at the Summerfield cemetery. Mr. Winton was a veteran of World War II and had lived in Howe most of his life. Survivors include four step-daughters, Mrs. Margie Edmondson of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Myrtle Wood and Mrs. Edna Williams, both of Wichita, Kan., and Mrs. Mary Shadwick of Howe; three stepsons, Edgar Childress of Alaska; Charlie Childress of Wichita , and Marvin Daniels of Center Valley, Calif.
