Charles Michael Copeland, 54, of Topeka, Kan., passed away Monday, Aug. 30, 2004. He was born Jan. 7, 1950, at Heavener to E.V. Copeland and Margie Freeman. He was a printer and a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam era.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include one son, Christopher Michael Copeland of Wister; his mother of Heavener; two brothers, John Mark Copeland of Tulsa and James Vernon Copeland of Broken Arrow; and one sister, Sharon Schrodt of Heavener.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3 in Howe Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Dean McDaniel officiating, under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener.
