Juanita R. Gann, 85, of Talihina, passed away Wednesday, Aug.
25, 2004. She was born on Sept. 23, 1918 at McAlester to Evans
Monroe and Nora Lee Allen Fields. She graduated from Talihina
High School and had lived most of her life in the community. She
retired from the Oklahoma Veterans Center in Talihina where she
worked as a nurse's aide. She was a member of the First Baptist
Church. She married Herbert Gann on Oct. 31, 1937 at Talihina.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and one
granddaughter, Rita Renee Warren.
Survivors include by two daughters, Jo Rita and Jeaneen Louise
of Salem, Ore.; one son, James Herbert of Snyder; eight
grandchildren, Cheryl, Janet, Michele, Jamie, Mary, Mark, Mike
and Matthew; 15 great-grandchildren; two
great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Jeanetta Cook of
McAlester, Yolanda Rose of Whitesboro, Evelyn Dickson of Stigler
and Judy Kight of Howe, Texas; four brothers, Frank Fields of
Hartshorne, Kenneth Fields of Wetumka, John Fields of Arpler and
Wendall Fields of Talihina.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28 at the
Talihina First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Cook
officiating. Interment will follow in the Old
Talihina Cemetery under
the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Phelps, George Cook Ronnie Rose,
Mike Fields, Wendall Darrell Fields and David Kight.
Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Fields, Kenneth Fields, John
Fields, Wendall Field and Bob Dickson.
