Glover Cleveland Green Jr., 46, of Fort Coffee, passed away
Saturday,
Sept. 11, 2004. He was born Sept. 26, 1957, at Fort Smith, Ark.
He was
a 1976 graduate of Wyandotte High School (KCKS) where he
received a
scholarship in vocal music. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a
member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of Poteau. He
worked
in construction.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glover C. Green Sr.;
his
grandmother, Hennrietta Henderson; two brothers, Donald E. Sykes
Sr.
and Jack Sykes Jr.
Survivors include one son, Dusty Green of North Carolina; one
daughter, Tequila Green-Hornburger of Poteau; his parents,
Pearlie and
Jack Sykes of Kansas City, Kan.; five brothers, Jackie Bunch of
Poteau, Larry (Terri) Green and Ronnie Sykes, both of Kansas
City,
Kan., Tommy Sykes of Kansas City, Mo. and Charles Sykes of
Altadena,
Calif.; 12 sisters, Patricia A. Green, Cynthia (Verlon Sr.)
Timms,
Sheila (Anthony) Mitchell, Elaine (Troy) Robinson, Sandra
Johnson,
Karen Racy, Delores (Ray) Miller and Annette Sykes, all of
Kansas
City, Kan., Gladys Sykes of McKinney, Texas, Bonnie (Vincent)
Thrash
of Allen, Texas, Keyonna Sykes of Pacoima, Calif. and Annie
Sykes of
Tucson, Ariz.; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and
loved
ones; and a host of beloved friends.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18 at Mt.
Calvary
Baptist Church in Poteau with the Rev. Jerry Jennings
officiating.
Burial will follow in Laird
Cemetery at Pocola under the direction of
Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
