Jeannie (Foster) Israel, 68, of Panama, passed away
Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004, in Fort Smith, Ark. She was born Feb.
11, 1936 at Van Buren, Ark. She was retired from Whirlpool after
25 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, O.B. and Lois
Beckham Blasingame; husband, Robert Foster; and one grandchild,
Tabatha Jean Gindhart.
Survivors include her husband, Edwin Israel of the home; four
daughters and husbands, Ramona and Pete Sutton, and Wynema and
Joe Gindhart, all of Sallisaw; three sons and wives, Randall
Foster and Roy and Renee Thompson, all of Panama and David and
Tammy Israel of Greenwood, Ark.; six sisters and husbands, Zelta
and Coy Smith of Chrisney, Ind., Leta Faye and George Morton of
Panama, Valeda and Bill Johnston of Pocola, Mary Morgan of
Poteau, Patricia and Jim Hopkins of Borger, Texas, and Barbara
Ritter of Spiro; one brother and wife, Dale and Jo Blassingame
of Van Buren, Ark.; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren;
numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones; and a
host of friends.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8 at Evans
Chapel of Memories at Poteau with the Rev. John Overton. Burial
will be held in New Hope
Cemetery at Spiro under the direction of Evans & Miller
Funeral Home of Poteau.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Mike Powers Jr., Joey
Gindhart, Bobby D. Goines, Chris Powers, Allen Wald and Justin
Thompson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Zack Foster and Sam McElhaney.
