SURPRISING NUPTIALS Mr. Milis (sic) Stewart and Miss Gailys Burright were married Sunday, May 18th, 1913 at Mulhall, Oklahoma. Miss Burright is the daughter of Mr. O. U. Burright of Mulhall and Mr. Stewart is one of the rural mail carriers out of Red Rock.
The happy event took place at high noon at the home of the bride's parents at Mulhall, only parents and relatives attending. Rev. Leo J. Anthis of Guthrie, Okla., united them in the holy bonds of wedlock. The bride was dressed in a soft dainty white dress carrying a pretty bouquet of flowers and the groom was dressed in conventional black. The groom is well known here and is a highly esteemed young man of fine habits, while the bride is a stranger to us she leaves many friends at Mulhall who will miss her in church and social circles. The bride and groom boarded the afternoon train for Red Rock and were met at the depot by a jolly crowd of young folks who showered them with rice. From the train they went to the home of Mrs. Florence Bryant, where with a number of friends they enjoyed an elaborate four course dinner.
Mr. and Mrs. Stewart will make their home in this City after June 1st, that they may enjoy a long and happy life is the wish of ye scribe.
