Services for Mrs. Gailys Burright Stewart, 86, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, in the Poplar and Warner Church of Christ. Kent Allen, Edmond, will officiate and burial will be in Crescent cemetery, directed by Smith Funeral Home. Mrs. Stewart, whose home was at 619 E. Oklahoma, died Monday in Logan County Memorial Hospital. Born January 28, 1891 at Mulhall, she had been a Guthrie resident for the past 22 years. A member of the Church of Christ, the (sic) also belonged to the Sons and Daughters of Original 89ers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milas, in 1974. Survivors include three sons, Lorne Stewart, Mulhall; Paul Stewart, Edmond, and Jesse Stewart, Ponca City; one daughter, Mrs. Ireta Knittle, Vinita; one sister, Mrs. Reba Stanfield, Bowie, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. |
