MINUTES OF THE MOUNT PLEASANT CHURCH
Mt. Pleasant, Feb 9, 1868
The session met and was opened with prayer.

Elders:

Chester Holden
Mrs. Belinda McGeee, a back-slidden member of
this church, appeared and confessed the sin and guilt of irreligious life for
some years until a year since when she resumed her religious duties. Being
satisfied as to her sincere penitence, Resolved, that she be restored.
Daniel Peyton and his wife, Mrs. Mary Jane
Peyton appeared as candidates for admission into the church. After a full
examination as to their experience and experimental knowledge of piety and
religion, Resolved, that they be received.

Lucy Hoyopa, Rebecca Turnbull and Eleza Hall,
appeared as candidates for admission into the church and after a full
examination as to their qualifications, Resolved that they be received.
Turner Turnbull, a member of this church, who
had herefore an interview with part of the session, again met with the session
and manifested is deep sorrow for his shortcomings in his religious duties and a
word of exortation to more faithfulness and watchfulness in the future. The
Session closed with prayer.

By invitation Lafayette Mosley sat with the
Session.
Sam McGee, his wife Belinda McGee with their
baptized children, viz: Eastman, Sampson, Soloman, and Ellis, at their own
request were dismissed to untie with Sixtown Church.
Jackson Frazier, a stray member appeared and
confessed that he had excluded himself from the privileges of the Church for
many years, but having his hope of his sin being pardoned requested to be
restored to the privileges of the Church. After a full examination, Resolved
that he be restored.

James Tobbi a member chickasaw Church presented
a letter of dismission from that church, upon which Resolved that he be
received.
Sidney Felitah (widow of Capt. Felitah)
appeared as a candidate for admission into the church. After a full examination,
Resolved that she be received.
Jackson Oklatobbi member of this church
appeared before the Session and confessed the sin of quarreling with a neighbor.
After a word of exortation to watchfulness he was recommended to continue in
Church Fellowship.
