Theresa LaJuan Kouri passed away January 22, 2009 in Midwest City. She was born May 4, 1917 in Hughes Springs, TX to Clarence and Lillie Pearl Williams. In 1934 she married Eddie Kouri, from which two sons were born. LaJuan and Eddie raised their family in Lawton, OK until Eddie's death in 1967. While living there, she worked as an outstanding business woman owning the "Slack Shop," a men's clothing store. Teresa moved to the Oklahoma City area in the 1990's.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother George Williams.

She is survived by her sons George Edward Kouri and wife Sandra, and Donald J. Kouri and wife Shirley brothers Edgar Williams and wife Margaret and Billy Gene Williams and wife Doris grandchildren Mycal Lusk and husband Jon, Mark Kouri and wife Jinan, Paul Kouri and wife Jennie, Joshua Kouri and wife Nancy and Hannah Granata and husband Eric and Lisa Renee Longworth and husband Daryl and David Matthew Kouri and 23 great grandchildren.

Services for Theresa will be held Monday, January 26 at 10:00 a.m. at the Matthews Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Lawton, OK. Services are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, OK.
