Gayle LaJuan Thompson left this earthly life on April 7, 2011. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Gayle was born to Onice Thomas and Edith Grisham Thomas on June 3, 1950 in Galena, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents, baby daughter Charity and brother Gary Thomas.

Gayle is survived by son David Harris, grandson Dylan, step daughter Crissy, sisters June and Robert Carlile, Carol Duhe', Sheril Butler, Patty and Dennis Harrold, Vickie Wilder, sister in law Eddy Thomas and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Also aunts, Edna Cruce, Lorene Greenway and Betty Crumbliss. Gayle lived most of her life in Oklahoma but still called Missouri home. She loved crafting, yellow roses, watching CSI and Law and Order and playing with her nieces and nephews. Most of all she loved her son and listening to him sing and play the piano. Gayle was a beloved daughter, mother, sister and aunt. We will miss her sweet smile and loving way. We thank the staff of Buena Vista Nursing Center for their care the past eighteen months.

Visitation will be at Ford Funeral Service Saturday and Sunday with services in Crane, MO and burial at Galena, MO.
