              INSCRIPTIONS
 
Hon. A. Wade Ex. Governor of the Choctaw Nation. Who immigrated to this country, finding it a rude wilderness destitute of all that makes a true civilization.
           Deceased happily lived to see the effort of his zeal, energy & sole ambitions rewarded with success by supplying his people with schools and churches of all that's desired by God loving men.  With the blessings of a grateful people on his repose his eventful & benevolent career closed on March 13, 1878. Age 67 yrs.
