We moved to Marysville Texas from Coak county.   Crossed Red river and farmed up and down the river also raised cattle.  All the land was Indian owned and we paid 25 cents a year lease whether we had one head or a thousand, the lease was called a permit which was later raised to $5.00 a year.

We moved to negro prong settlement (Loco, Oklahoma) in 1881 at that time places were called settlements they had no name.  Another settlement was around Doak's store on Wild horse.

With Statehood Pickens county was cut into small ones.  First place I preached was near Loco, name given to the negro prong settlement post office.

I was in business in Loco there was also a Mr. JONES, Mr. ROBINSON and A. R. BIGGS.
