Merll (sic) Lessley Edgar
Services were Tuesday for Merll Lessley Edgar, 79 year old Stringtown
oilwell driller who passed on in Atoka Memorial Hospital October 14.

Atoka Funeral Home and Rev. Lee Peeveyhouse were in charge at
Stringtown Baptist church. Interment was in Mountain Home cemetery.

Mr. Edgar was born at Mounds, Indian Territory, May 18, 1905, the son
of Frank and Dora Bains(sic) Edgar.

He was married June 27, 1924 to Frances Romaine(sic) McEntire at Bristow
and was a member of Kiowa Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife of Stringtown; a daughter, Aleta Wilkinson,
of Stringtown; two sons M.L. Edgar Jr. of Stringtown and James Leslie
Edgar of Wichita Falls, Texas; seven grandchildren and 12 great
grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Gordon Head, Bill Potts, J.T. Heard, Ronnie Marley,
Chock McDougal and Frank Sellmeyer.

Merll should be spelled Merrel, Bains should be spelled Banes and Romaine should be Romayne.
