Merrel Lessley Edgar, Jr.
Graveside services were Monday for Merrel Lessley Edgar, Jr. 68 year old Stringtown welder who passed on November 17 in McAlester Regional hospital.

Atoka Funeral Home and Revs. Larry Rose and Lee Peevyhouse were in charge at Stringtown cemetery.

Mr. Edgar was born April 12, 1927, at Stringtown, the son of ML and Frances Romaine (sic)McEntire Edgar. He was a veteran of World War II. He was married May 13, 1946, here to Josie Macomb.

Survivors include his wife and a daughter, Marilynn Edgar, both of Stringtown, two sons; Wayne Edgar of Sulphur and Chris Edgar of Stringtown, seven grandchildren and a sister: Aleta Williamson of Stringtown and a brother Leslie Edgar, of Wichita Falls, Texas.

Pallbearers were J.T. Heard, Harold Henderson, Gordon Heed, J.C. Gadberry, Floyd McCarty and Bill Potts.

Honorary pallbearers were Denton Logan, Roy Agee and Fletcher B. Givens.
