McCasland services held in California
Services were held Dec. 9 at Oakhill Funeral Home Chapel of Roses
in San Jose, Calif., for Clarence M. McCasland. Internment was in San
Oakhill Memorial Park in San Jose, Calif. He passed away Dec. 4 in Santa
Clara, Calif., at the age of 80 years. He was born in Arkansas on May
29, 1901 and came to Oklahoma, then Indian Territory. He attended Atoka
Schools then went on to receive his Law degree from Lebanon, Tenn.,
University.
Mr. McCasland was active in community and civic affairs and had
served as County Judge of Atoka County for several years. In 1941, he
and his family moved to Richmond, Calif., where he was employed by the
Ford Company which later moved to Milpitas, Calif. He continued with the
company until his retirement in 1966. During his employment with the
Ford Company he was honored as the Employee of the Year.
Survivors include his wife, Roxie McCasland, formerly Roxie Lowey,
of Milpitas, Calif.; on daughter Mary Ann Fahey, Richmond, Calif.; two
sons, Pat McCasland, also of Richmond, Calif.; and Tom McCasland, San
Jose, Calif.’ four brothers, Col. Hickey McCasland, Oklahoma City;
Hayden McCasland, Ark., Stanton McCasland and Mark McCasland, Texas; two
sisters, Sybil Choatee, Phoenix, Ariz.; Lahoma Millican, Oklahoma City;
five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews
and cousins.
