HAYDEN D. MCCASLAND
McCasland Services held in Arkansas
Hayden D. McCasland, 82, of Hot Springs, died Wednesday, Feb. 27
at a local hospital.
A native of Atoka, Oklahoma, he worked for may years for the
Oklahoma State Department of Corrections as superintendent of prisons in
Stringtown and McLoud Honor Farms. He retired in 1975 and moved to Hot
Springs. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Oklahoma Sheriff
and Peace Officers Association.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Willa Mae Taylor
McCasland, two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline McCasland of Hot Springs; one
son, Hayden D. McCasland, Jr. of Norman, Okla.; four daughters, Alice
Presson and Sharon Shoket, both of Norman; Nina Holden of Las Cruces, N.
M., and Robert McCasland of Hot Springs; two brothers, Stanton McCasland
of Odessa, Texas, and Mark McCasland of Atlanta, Texas; and 12
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. today at Crestview
Mausoleum with Dr. M. J. Timbs officiating. Burial will be at Crestview
Cemetery under the direction of Gross Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be grandson: Joseph H. McCasland, Nick Shokat and
Steve, David and Jim Presson, all of Norman, and Justin Tharp of Las
Cruces, N. M.
