Barzella Geneva (Lowe) Ross
Graveside services for Barzella G. Ross, 65, Atoka, will be held
Wednesday, July 13 at 2 p.m. at the Caney Cemetery with Rev. James
Crowson officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Atoka Funeral Home.
A former restaurant worker, she died July 10, 1997 at Atoka Memorial
Hospital.
Born at Daisy on January 8, 1929, she was the daughter of Esaw
Lowe and Ollie F. Newkirk Lowe. She was a member of the Harmony Baptist
Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Esaw Lowe and Ollie Newkirk
Lowe; three brothers, John, Frank, and Marvin Lowe; and a son Bruce
Allen Ross.
Survivors include a daughter, Billye Mitchell of Atoka; a son
George S. Ross III, Tushka; two daughters-in-law, Melanie Ross of Tushka,
and Sherry Ross, Caney; a son-in-law Jerry Mitchell of Atoka; seven
grandchildren, Lacinda G. (Ross) Hicks, Jerry L. Mitchell, Sidney A.
Mitchell of Atoka, Bruce Allen Ross II and Benjamin A. Ross of Caney,
Adam Mitchell and Jeffery R Mitchell of Tushka. two great-grandchildren,
Ashley R. Hicks and Anna M. Hicks of Atoka; a sister, Velma Taylor,
Oklahoma City; two brothers, Ray T. Lowe and Sam Lowe of Atoka; several
nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Pallbearers are Buddy Hutson, Sonny Hutson, Herman (Tugar) Hutson,
Sammy Hutson, Billy Joe Hutson, T.D. Hutson, and T.M. Hutson.
