Last Will and Testament of Peter Long
Territory of Oklahoma -- County of Canadian
Know all men by these presents: That I Peter Long, do
hereby declare that I am in my right mind, and in full possession of my
mental faculties, and in making my last will and testament, do hereby
give and bequeath unto my son Charles D. Long the sum of Five dollars,
as he the said Charles D. Long has had more than his share of my
property years ago: and I give and bequeath unto my daughter Ellen
Jones the sum of Five dollars: And to my daughter Elvira O. Patterson
the sum of Five dollars: and I give and bequeath unto my daughter
Rozetta Wray the sum of One Hundred and Five dollars, because she the
said Rozetta Wray stayed at home and kept the house long after she
became of age; and I give and bequeath unto my son Wallace I. Long the
sum of Five dollars: The balance of my property both real and personal
I give and bequeath unto: Josiah Long: Louisa Riggs: Jane Pratt, and
William A. S. Long: to be divided equally between them. It is my desire
that if my wife Service me, that she shall have the use of all my
property for her maintance during her lifetime, and after her death my
property shall be given to my nine children according to the terms of
this will:
And further it is my Desire that if their should be any
debts at the time of my death that the same shall be paid by the
administrator first before any division of property is made: and it is
also my wish that B. F. Stout shall be appointed administrator of my
estate, and that he sell a sufficient amount of personal property to
pay off all debts, the administrator to come first in the list of debts.
In Testimony thereof, I have here unto signed my name at
Yukon, Oklahoma Territory this 12th day of December in the year of our
Lord Eighteen Hundred and Ninety six (1896)

Attached to said will of Peter Long, deceased, is a
pre-nuptial contract, as follows:
July 08, 1896 Lake City.
Marriage Contract between Peter Long and Syrena Meeks.
It is hereby agreed that the above named parties each hold their own
property, and acquire and acquire no right to the other's property by
marriage. On the opposite side of this sheet it is stated what property
Syrena Meek owned at the time of marriage. What may be raised from her
stock will be owned equally by both of them.

Petition of Benjamin F. Stout filed in said probate
court on June 23, 1897, said petition asking that said Benjamin F.
Stout, who is named in said will as the executor thereof, be duly
appointed by said court as said executor. Petition also recites that
Peter Long died at Yukon in said county and territory, on or about the
20th of June 1897; that the names, ages, and residences of the hers of
said deceased, so far as known to said petitioner, are as follows:

by publication that said petition would be heard in said court, on July
24, 1897, published in the El Reno Republican for three consecutive
weeks, the first publication being in the issue of July 02, 1897, and
last publication being in the issue of July 16, 1897, as per affidavit
of William J. Grant, publisher; said affidavit filed in said court July
24, 1897.
