8, 1946 Mrs. Lou Tinkle, 70, 1901'er Dies Mrs. Lou Tinkle, 70, Comanche County 1901'er, died at 4:30am Monday at the home of a son, Sam Tinkle, in Oklahoma City, following a brief illness. She had left Lawton Saturday to visit her son. Born Lou Stinnett in Clay County, Texas, Sept. 23, 1875, she was married there to Harrison Tinkle in 1895. They came to Comanche County in 1901, living on a farm north of Lawton for several years. They later purchased a farm three miles west of city, before moving to Lawton in 1940. Mrs. Tinkle had made her home with a daughter, Mrs. Claude Hight, 310 Park, since Mr. Tinkle's death here July 18, 1945. She was a longtime member of the Baptist Church. |

Survivors are the son, three daughters, Mrs. Hight, Mrs. Jack Hankins, 1018 A, and Mrs. Viola Lewis, Roswell, N.M.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Other relatives include Mrs. J. M. Stephens, 808 South Second, a sister-in-law. |
