Vinita, March 11—Services for Mrs. Isabel W. Berger,
70, who died early Friday, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in
the Burckhalter Funeral home chapel. Burial will be in
Neosho, Mo.
Mrs. Berger was an active member of the Democratic party and
the PEO until she became ill about six months ago. She was
Vinita city treasurer for 14 years, beginning in 1926.
She was born in Neosho, Mo., and had lived in Vinita since
1899. She was a member of the First Methodist Church and the
Vinita Delphi club.
She is survived by her husband, A.B., Vinita; two sons, Ben,
state editor of the Oklahoman and Times, 3828 NW 25,
Oklahoma City, and David, Tulsa; a daughter, Mrs. Giles
Tarrant, Neosho, Mo.; a brother Barton J. Morrow, Monte
Bello, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. L.D. Rice, Neosho, Mo., and
two grandchildren.
