Committal services for Mrs. Nannie Eiler Evans, 84, mother of
Roscoe C. Evans, principal of Mark Twain school, and of
three newspaper publishers, will be conducted by the Rebekah
lodge at Vinita at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Vinita.
Mrs. Evans, a Vinita resident since 1903, died Monday in a
local rest home, following a four-year illness.
Roscoe C. Evans, who recently completed his twenty-seventh
year in the Oklahoma City schools, formerly published a
newspaper in Vinita. Her other sons include Lloyd W. Evans,
publisher of the Fairfax Chief; Elmer S. Evans, a Centralia,
Wash., publisher, and Robley D. Evans, who operates a
newspaper near Portland, Ore.
