A Son of Judge Shackleford Opened an Artery to Suicide.
Vinita, I.T, March 10.—In a desperate attempt at
self-destruction, Deputy United States Clerk Ross Shackleford opened the arteries in his wrist at the Brown
Palace hotel at Wagoner and when discovered in his room was
unconscious from the loss of blood. The physicians in
attendance have been unable to restore him to consciousness
and he continues in a very critical condition. The motive
for the desperate act is not known, as the unfortunate man
was apparently in the best of spirits a short time before he
made the attempt to end his own life. He is a son of Judge
Shackleford.
