VINITA, Sept. 3.—Steps have been taken to provide a fitting
monument over the grave of Private Ira C. Price, of this
city, killed August 15, 1918, in France, while in Company B,
109th Infantry, Price and comrades were in a shell hole when
a shell fell among them. The first explosion tore his right
leg off and a moment later another shot struck him in the
head and shoulder.
