VINITA, July 20—“The old man of the mountain,” 82-year-old
John R. Goodman, was buried in a pauper’s grave here Friday.
Goodman, an ex-convict, and Bill Quinton, Tahlequah youth,
were shot to death by a posse after they robbed the bank of
Ketchum, Okla., recently. Ealum Gregory, president of the
bank was killed in the gun-battle. Goodman was buried
unmourned. Quinton’s body was buried by his father, Johnson
Quinton.
