Farm Agent for Insurance Firm Here Dies.
Failure to locate Mrs. J.E. Barnett and her daughter, Beryl,
who are traveling in the northeastern states, Wednesday
delayed funeral arrangements for Barnett, who died of heart
disease Wednesday while on a business trip at Vinita.
Barnett, 72 years old, had been a resident of the city since
1903, and for 35 years had been special agent in charge of
the farm department of the Home Insurance Co. of New York.
His home was at 419 Northeast Fourteenth street.
Besides Mrs. Barnett and the daughter, Barnett is survived
by two sons, Beverly, Detroit, Mich., and Brice, Hollywood,
Calif. Miss Barnett is an instructor at Central high school.
Barnett’s body is at a Vinita funeral home.
