Fifth Case Diagnosed By County Officer.
VINITA, Jan. 15.—Craig county’s fifth meningitis case since
January 6 was diagnosed Wednesday by Dr. D.B. Stough, county
health officer.
He postponed indefinitely the lifting of a limited
quarantine after discovering the infant child of Joe Huffman
had contracted the malady. One meningitis death already has
occurred in the Huffman family, and another child is ill of
the disease.
At Fairfax, Osage county, theaters and churches remained
closed although a baby suffering from meningitis was
reported improving.
