Clark Morgan Is Killed On Vinita Highway.
Clark Morgan, 33-year-old state highway department
timekeeper, was killed Friday when his car left the highway
and overturned nine miles east of Vinita.
Morgan lived with his mother, Mrs. Leon O. Morgan, 136
Northwest Twentieth street.
Blame for the mishap was laid to a blow-out by Bryan
McDonald, sheriff at Vinita. He said Morgan’s car came to a
stop in a ditch about 100 yards from where it left the
pavement.
Morgan, a graduate of Central highschool, left here in April
to become timekeeper on a state road project near Vinita,
friends said. He also attended Kemper Military academy,
Boonville, Mo. His father, who died several years ago, was
in the cotton business here.
Arrangements will be made at the Street and Draper funeral
home. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by a
brother, Tom Morgan, of the home address. Morgan moved here
with his parents, when he was a boy.
