VINITA, Dec. 11.—Jess Lane, 50 years old, died at his home
here Saturday night of burns suffered Tuesday night.
Lane told the fire chief, called to extinguish flames at the
home, that he had poured gasoline on his legs to relieve
rheumatic pains, and subsequently caught fire. Two daughters
survive.
