VINITA, June 29.—The body of M.E. Milford, former Vinita
postmaster and newspaper publisher, who died Wednesday in
Tulsa, was returned here Thursday for funeral services.
Milford came here in the 1870’s as captain of a pony express
between Kansas and New Mexico. He later bought the weekly
Indian Chieftain which he published for several years.
